What does a devops engineer do:

  • Cooperation with multiple development teams and our IT department
  • Configuration, deployment and maintenance of services supporting team development
    •  (build servers, test frameworks, source control, crash reporters, cloud systems, etc.)
  • Development and maintenance of internal tools for development
    •  (related to specific engines or projects)
  • Research and development of new tools and services

What do we expect from you?:

What does our game developer do:

UI Engineer (junior/mid/senior)

Are you ready to take your game development career to the next level? We're on the lookout for a UI Engineer to join our teams in Prague and Brno!

At our company, we're not just making games – we're crafting AAA experiences that resonate with players worldwide. Our projects range from porting games to different platforms, to co-development with talented teams from renowned studios across the globe, up to the development of our game titles. 

Our primary expertise lies in Unreal Engine paired with C++, so you'll likely find yourself working with these technologies. As a UI Engineer, you will have the opportunity to leverage your programming skills to code visually stunning games! 

 

What does our UI Engineer do: 

  • Development of internal projects as well as co-development on AAA titles using modern UI frameworks.
  • Consult other UI engineers and share gained knowledge.
  • Use Noesis, UMG&Slate, Coherent, or Unity UI Toolkit to develop game UIs.

 

What do we need you to have:

  • Familiarity with any high level programming language (C#, C++, C, Java ...).
  • Strong problem-solving skills using any programming language.
  • English is a must, we're working with English-speaking studios.
  • Passion for UI and game development in general.
  • Eagerness to gain new knowledge to develop game UIs.

 

Nice to haves:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in UI engineering
  • Previous experience with any game engines (proprietary, Unreal Engine, Unity ...)
  • Previous experience with WPF or any layout languages (css, html, xamarin...)

Senior 3D Vehicle Artist

As a senior 3D Vehicle Artist, you will be a part of the team which participates in co-development with AAA studios.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Create high-detailed 3D vehicle models based on photos.
  • Be responsible for the end-to-end process of creating designated vehicle models and implementing 3D vehicle models in Unreal engine 
  • Collaborate with all members of our 3D artist team, especially with Art Director, Art Lead and producers.
  • Consistently work on increasing the overall project quality by providing feedback and propose improvements

 

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO HAVE

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a vehicle artist in the video games industry 
  • A high level of proficiency in tools for modeling (3dsMax, Maya, Blender or equivalent) and PBR texturing and materials (Photoshop, Substance Designer/Painter)
  • Experience with implementation models in Unreal Engine
  • Good understanding of proportions, modular asset creation, hard surface modeling
  • Experience working on published AAA games will be a strong advantage.
  • English on the communication level, the minimum is B2 (part of the team speaks only english) 
  • personality with passion for detail and skills in composition, texture, realism.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

As a senior 3D Environment Artist, you will be a part of the team that participates in co-development with AAA gaming studio teams while living your dream in Prague.

 

WHAT WOULD YOU DO: 

  • Create scenes with architectural and organic environments with adequate lighting following the game style and atmosphere 
  • Validate the assets in the game engine and make improvements where necessary to fit technical constraints and artistic direction.
  • Collaborate with all members of our 3D artist team, especially with Art Director, Art Lead and producents 
  • Achieving the strategic goals of the 3D art team on a specific project 
  • Consistently work on increasing the overall project quality by providing feedback and proposing improvements

 

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO HAVE

  • 6+ years of professional experience as an environment artist in the video games industry 
  • A high level of proficiency in tools for modeling (3dsMax, Maya, Blender or equivalent) and PBR texturing and materials (Photoshop, Substance Designer/Painter)
  • Experience working on published AAA games will be a strong advantage.
  • Good understanding of proportions, architecture, modular asset creation, hard surface and organic modeling
  • Experience working with Game engines or real-time rendering tools. The best option is Unreal Engine.

3D Generalist (Mid/Senior)

In our Art team located in Prague, we are currently looking for an open-minded talent who is enthusiastic about 3D art. Grip Studios portfolio consists of a variety of projects ranging from the development of in-house game titles to co-development with AAA gaming studio teams.

 

What does our 3D generalist:

  • Participate in internal and external projects.
  • Elaboration of various 3D tasks in different kinds of game development: character, and environment, props, texturing, etc.
  • Sculpt/Model, UV, texture and create materials for PBR pipeline.
  • Validate the assets in the game engine, make improvements where necessary, to fit technical constraints and artistic direction.
  • Participation in daily stand-up meetings.

What do we need you to have:

  • Professional experience working with 3D Softwares (like 3dsmax, Maya, Substance Painter & ZBrush, Blender) around 4+ years
  • Experience working on published AAA game will be a strong advantage.
  • Good understanding of proportions, architecture, modular asset creation, hard surface & organic modeling
  • Excellent knowledge of PBR workflows. (Metallic/ Roughness, Specular/ Gloss)
  • Experience in making efficient UVs with an understanding of trim, seamless, non-square, and atlas texture workflows.
  • Experience working with Game engines or real-time rendering tools. The best option is Unreal Engine.
  • English on the communication level, the minimum is B2
